Registered Dental Hygienist
I am happy to make a difference in people’s wellbeing. There’s a strong connection between the health of the mouth and that of the body and I love being part of keeping people healthy! I spend a lot of time teaching patients, arming them with information and tools so they have a healthy life, starting with their mouth Being a dental hygienist is more than cleaning teeth. I debride, detect, and evaluate the mouth, take X-rays, and help people achieve healthy smiles!
Outside the office I love staying active, hiking when I can and snowboarding in the winter. I come from a large family, have four siblings, and have lived in Suffield my entire life. I enjoy time with my family and friends and like creative activities.
I graduated from Porter & Chester as a dental assistant in 2013, and am working on my degree in dental hygiene. My job revolves around patient care. I help the doctor with restorative procedures and maintain the cleanliness of the office so it is safe for everyone. The best part of my job is the ability to help others. Building relationships with patients and working towards their dental goals is the most gratifying part about being a dental assistant. It makes me happy knowing I can take part in improving someone’s smile and overall health.
In my free time I like staying active. I enjoy the outdoors by hiking, cycling, and snowboarding, as well as playing hockey with my friends. When I am not outside appreciating nature, I indulge in DIY projects, reading, and photography.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I enjoy spending my days working with great patients, helping each develop and maintain optimal oral health. I want people to understand why it’s important to keep their mouth clean and healthy and give them the tools and knowledge to do so. While I’m assessing a patient’s oral health, taking X-rays, and cleaning their teeth, I spend a lot of time talking about their mouth. I teach patients about proper home dental hygiene, good nutrition, and how to develop positive habits.
During my time off I stay busy. I live in Glastonbury with my spouse of more than 30 years. My interests include gardening, skiing in Vermont, horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying time with friends and family.
I like helping patients improve their dental and medical health. I know a healthy mouth and a healthy body are important and how they affect each other. I was a dentist in Poland before coming to the United States more than 30 years ago, so I know it’s important to have great oral health! I help Dr. Burstein as he cares for patients. I make sure he has tools he needs, act as a second pair of hands, and help make everything go smoothly for our patient.
My husband and I came to the USA 30 years ago with our three year old son. My husband and I enjoy ballroom dancing, traveling, and living a healthy lifestyle. I used to ski but now I love the warm weather, when I can swim and spend time flower gardening. Dentistry is my first passion, Zumba and staying healthy is my second!
I love greeting patients, checking them in, and scheduling their appointments, but most of all, I love helping to create an environment where every patient feels comfortable and welcome. We understand that visiting the dentist can be a stressful experience for some, which is why I work so hard to treat each person with patience, respect, and compassion. Ours is a family-oriented practice, and we hope you’ll feel at home when you visit!
Outside of work, I like to keep busy by riding my horse Jet and playing ball with my blue heeler Madison. Having an education in Animal Science, I have a great love for animals.
I am here to help patients with all their scheduling, treatment presentation, and financial arrangement needs. Before joining Burstein Dental, I worked as an insurance coordinator, as well as having been a dental assistant with expanded duties for many years. I really appreciate being a part of such a team-oriented family practice. We love working together to help patients reach their dental goals through quality treatment in a friendly, comfortable environment.
I lived in Colorado for 17 years, where I volunteered with Vail Ski Patrol and raced mountain bikes. Currently, I tour New England by being a hockey mom and try to ride my bike whenever I can! We recently adopted a rescue dog who has been a great fit for our family.
