Registered Dental Hygienist
I am happy to make a difference in people’s wellbeing. There’s a strong connection between the health of the mouth and that of the body and I love being part of keeping people healthy! I spend a lot of time teaching patients, arming them with information and tools so they have a healthy life, starting with their mouth Being a dental hygienist is more than cleaning teeth. I debride, detect, and evaluate the mouth, take X-rays, and help people achieve healthy smiles!
Outside the office I love staying active, hiking when I can and snowboarding in the winter. I come from a large family, have four siblings, and have lived in Suffield my entire life. I enjoy time with my family and friends and like creative activities.
I am a people-person and like getting to know our patients. I, and the rest of our team, work hard to make sure each patient feels relaxed and comfortable during visits. We want people to look forward to coming to see us! I seat patients and explain what will happen while preparing them to see Dr. Burstein. During procedures, I work chairside, assisting the doctor while checking to make sure our patient is relaxed and talking with them about what we’re doing.
When not working, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I like making candy and make the best pierogis! I’m also a big fan of cold weather!
Registered Dental Hygienist
I enjoy spending my days working with great patients, helping each develop and maintain optimal oral health. I want people to understand why it’s important to keep their mouth clean and healthy and give them the tools and knowledge to do so. While I’m assessing a patient’s oral health, taking X-rays, and cleaning their teeth, I spend a lot of time talking about their mouth. I teach patients about proper home dental hygiene, good nutrition, and how to develop positive habits.
During my time off I stay busy. I live in Glastonbury with my spouse of more than 30 years. My interests include gardening, skiing in Vermont, horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying time with friends and family.
I like helping patients improve their dental and medical health. I know a healthy mouth and a healthy body are important and how they affect each other. I was a dentist in Poland before coming to the United States more than 30 years ago, so I know it’s important to have great oral health! I help Dr. Burstein as he cares for patients. I make sure he has tools he needs, act as a second pair of hands, and help make everything go smoothly for our patient.
My husband and I came to the USA 30 years ago with our three year old son. My husband and I enjoy ballroom dancing, traveling, and living a healthy lifestyle. I used to ski but now I love the warm weather, when I can swim and spend time flower gardening. Dentistry is my first passion, Zumba and staying healthy is my second!
I enjoy making our patients feel at home in our practice. We all want them to have positive experiences and to feel good about coming here! I have worked as both a dental and orthodontic assistant, so I am able to educate people about their oral health and answer questions about treatment. Working at the front desk, I greet and check in patients, update their records, and schedule visits. I also oversee patient accounts.
I live in Tolland with my husband and three daughters. When I’m not at work, I enjoy taking long walks with our family dog, exploring New England, and gardening.
I like spending my days surrounded by our wonderful patients and working with Dr. Burstein and our team to deliver quality care. Each of us wants patients to feel comfortable and know they are important. We genuinely care and love helping our neighbors develop healthy smiles! I review treatment plans and financial arrangements with patients, answering questions so they’re fully informed and understand what we’ll be doing.
Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga and baking (especially cookies!). I also like spending time at the beach and being with my husband of more than 30 years, Steven.
