Registered Dental Hygienist
I love that my job is unique and always look forward to providing all aspects of preventative care, screening, restorative and periodontal issues. I help patients to understand why it’s important to keep their mouth clean and healthy. I give them the tools and knowledge to do so by providing patient education.
I enjoy getting to know my patients. In order to provide the best possible care, it’s essential to know your patients and their needs. Preventative care is not “one size fits all” it is tailored to each individual. I am committed to improving my patient’s oral & systemic health.
I live in South Windsor with my husband Steve, and our son Noah and two dogs. We are happy to be involved in the South Windsor Community and love spending time with our family and friends.
I graduated from Porter & Chester as a dental assistant in 2016. I help the doctor with restorative procedures and maintain the cleanliness of the office so it is safe for everyone. The best part of my job is the ability to help others and make patients feel relaxed. Building relationships with patients and working towards their dental goals is the most gratifying part about being a dental assistant. It makes me happy knowing I can take part in improving someone’s smile and overall health. I love that every day is a new and exciting day as the office works together as a team.
In my free time I love spending time with all my family and friends. My fiancée and I are in the process of planning our wedding.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I am happy to make a difference in people’s well being. There’s a strong connection between the health of the mouth and that of the body and I love being part of keeping people healthy! Being a dental hygienist is more than cleaning teeth. I debride, detect, and evaluate the mouth, take X-rays, and help people achieve healthy smiles!
Outside the office I have a great love of photography I also enjoy hobby farming, raising chickens along with tending to my large garden. My husband & I have an interest in antique cars as well. We are proud owners of a rescue dog named Shelby.
I began working as a Dental Assistant in 1990. I assist Dr. Burstein with procedures and maintaining a sterile, comfortable environment for our patients. It’s great to work with a passionate dentist that enjoys teaching to further us. My favorite part of my job is that I can help to enhance the health of our patients and create a smile that boost their confidence and self-esteem. I am happy that we have a very supportive team that all care about the well being of our patients.
Outside of the office, I receive my BTA in Vocal Performance at UCONN and my Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Science. I spent 16 years as an EMT and Paramedic. I have volunteered at the local cat rescue for 9 years and live on a horse farm with 6 horses and a mini pony.
I love greeting patients, checking them in, and scheduling their appointments, but most of all, I love helping to create an environment where every patient feels comfortable and welcomed. It’s important that each patient be greeted with a smile and know I am always available to answer any questions or concerns they may have.
I am here to help patients with all their scheduling, treatment presentation, and financial arrangement needs. Before joining Burstein Dental, I worked as an insurance coordinator, as well as having been a dental assistant with expanded duties for many years. I really appreciate being a part of such a team-oriented family practice. We love working together to help patients reach their dental goals through quality treatment in a friendly, comfortable environment.
I lived in Colorado for 17 years, where I volunteered with Vail Ski Patrol and raced mountain bikes. Currently, I tour New England by being a hockey mom and try to ride my bike whenever I can! We recently adopted a rescue dog who has been a great fit for our family.
